Spring Valley Friends is opposing the Noble Hill housing development located on a 28-acre wooded meadowland next to the Fredrick Miller Spring, Riley Creek, and the bluff conservation area in Eden Prairie, MN. This development poses many environmental and safety risks. Throughout the watershed permit process we uncovered new safety issues with this project, most concerning is that the engineering design could actually cause a landslide to occur! The landslide threat places the water resources and future homeowners’ lives at risk. Addressing this issue will require additional legal action, please consider donating to help with the costs. Fredrick Miller Spring is one of the last accessible and drinkable springs in the Twin Cities area. The consequences of this housing development are unknown and not worth the risks! Riley Creek is already polluted and vulnerable to storm water contamination and erosion and the surrounding valley of 450+ trees provides habitat for wildlife and migratory birds. Our goal is to offer an alternative to development and ultimately purchase this unique land.
